RPSO ESCAPED INMATE: Work release inmate fled work truck in Alexandria

Alexandria, LA (1/31/2023) – A work release inmate, who was scheduled to be released in May, jumped out of the work truck and fled deputies earlier this morning. 

At approximately 6:45 am, an inmate assigned to an RPSO work crew, fled the work truck as the deputy stopped at the intersection of MacArthur Drive and Texas Avenue. The inmate is identified as MILTON LEWIS WILSON, JR. , 36 of Alexandria. Wilson is a black male, 5’8” tall, 160 pounds.  

Wilson, who is serving time for narcotics and theft charges, was last seen wearing blue jeans with DC2 stenciled on the leg and the lime green RPSO DC2 work shirt over a gray hooded sweatshirt 

Investigators say they have located the green work shirt not far from where he escaped. Other inmates were in the vehicle at the time of the escape but were immediately secured. 

Deputies, Corrections Security Investigators and Detectives along with the Alexandria Police Department, are searching the area.
