Alexandria, LA (8/17/2023) – According to Optimun Cable Network Outage Map, 1,220 customers in Alexandria, Louisiana are without service. The outage is impacting phone, cable, and internet service.
According local sources the outage was caused by equipment damage by gunfire to network equipment located near the Jones and Univeristy Streets.
Sources on the scene said Alexandria Police Department recovered a large number of casing. The source also said a Rapides Parish School Bus was also damage by the gunfire.
No injuries were reported.
