New Iberia, LA (5/12/2023) – The New Iberia Police Department (NIPD) reported a dead body was found in the freezer at the Arby’s Restaurant on Admiral Doyle Drive.
On Thursday, May 11, 2023, at approximately 6:19 p.m., the New Iberia Police Department (N.I.P.D.) received a report of a deceased person located in the freezer.
Officers and Acadian Ambulance were dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, Officers located a female inside a walk-in freezer, showing no signs of life. The Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.
The deceased female has been identified as an employee of the restaurant. The identity of the female will not be released at this time.
This matter remains under investigation and no foul play is suspected at this time.
