Alexandria, La. (11/24/2022) – Louisiana State Police Troopers are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Rapides Avenue near Westwood Boulevard. The shooting occurred within the city limits of Alexandria.
The request for an external investigation was made by Chief Roney Howard of the Alexandria Police Department (APD).
A citizen was shot by an APD Officer and is receiving treatment at a local hospital. An APD Officer was injured during the incident and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
