Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘During that traffic stop, Agents were able to identify a suspect – 25-year-old Jordan Barnes of Franklinton, Louisiana. Based on evidence at that scene, Narcotics Agents could then secure a search warrant for Barnes’ residence in Satsuma.’

Agents seized the following during the scope of the investigation:

  • 1. Approximately 90lbs of marijuana
  • 2. 5.56 caliber AR-style pistol
  • 3. Glock 19 9mm
  • 4. 2021 Dodge Charger Hell Cat (pending seizure)
  • 5. 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (pending seizure)

Sheriff Ard says, ‘This was a team effort by LPSO Narcotics, Burglary, Criminal Patrol & Detectives. What we’ve all seen here lately is the mixing of these drugs with fentanyl & other chemicals – some in lethal amounts – leading to overdoses & deaths. We’ll keep fighting to keep these drugs off of our streets.’
