Leesville, LA (3/10/2023) – Leesville Police Department (LPD) reported on March 9, 2023, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Officers of the LPD responded to a residence on Pearl Street about subjects shooting at the house.
Once the Officers arrived on the scene, it was discovered that one of the residents had been shot. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment. No other residents in the home were injured.
As a result of the initial investigation at the scene, it was discovered that there are believed to be four suspects who arrived at the residence in a grey or light-colored Chevrolet Impala. The suspects exited the vehicle and approached the residence, at which time one of the subjects knocked on the door. A home resident answered but immediately closed the door when he saw a masked individual with a gun. The suspects then began shooting into the residence. The suspects had fled the scene before the Officers arrived at the residence.
