Grant Parish, LA (3/25/2024) – An investigation spearheaded by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Lake Charles man on two counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.
Jamey Shirley, aged 46, was taken into custody following an undercover operation orchestrated by law enforcement.
The operation, designed to uncover potential predators targeting minors, involved Shirley engaging in conversations under the belief that he was communicating with a young girl. However, unbeknownst to him, the individual on the other end of the conversation was a Grant Parish Detective.
As the investigation unfolded, Shirley allegedly made plans to meet with what he thought was a child. His intentions, as alleged by authorities, were deeply concerning and led to his apprehension by law enforcement.
