Rosepine, La. (12/1/2022) – On November 25, 2022, the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Beauregard Medical Facility about a sexual assault involving two female victims.
Detectives interviewed the victims and learned that one of the victims was acquainted with a male subject who traveled to her residence in the Rosepine area on November 24, 2022.
The victim indicated that the male subject was accompanied by four other males, whom she, nor her roommate, were unfamiliar with.
Both victims indicated that they consumed alcohol brought to the residence by the five men.
Both reported that soon after the alcohol consumption, they began to feel unwell, which resulted in the two victims experiencing a stupor. Each victim reported that the effects of the alcohol seemed exaggerated, and they suspect that there may have been some type of illicit ingredient (s) mixed in with the alcohol.
Detectives learned that once the women were incapacitated, all men engaged in non-consensual sexual contact with the two victims.
Forensic testing was performed on the victims, and it was discovered that each victim suffered injuries consistent with sexual assault.
With the assistance of Fort Polk Officials, VPSO Detectives were able to obtain the identities of the male subjects. On November 30th, 2022, each subject was interviewed about the incident.
