Alexandria, LA (6/23/2023) – UrbanCast has been granted permission by Mr. Dan Gray, the father of Gabrielle Prenell and Judea Thompson, her sister, to provide the following update on their situation.

According to the family, Gabrielle was shot twice in the abdomen and the arm. Gabrielle was airlifted on Wednesday, June 21, from Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS, to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, MS, where she underwent two surgeries.
She is currently in critical but stable condition. Her first concern was the well-being of children, asking how they were doing.
According to McComb police, the suspect, Pastor Danny Prenell, Sr. Pastor at Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Louisiana is in stable condition at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Prenell faces multiple felony charges once released from the hospital.
According to Gabrielle’s family, the children are in Mississippi Child Protective Services, and it is expected they should be transferred to Louisiana within days.Â
McComb police said the incident was being investigated as a domestic violence incident.
