Alexandria, LA (5/12/2024) – The Educators Rising Signing Day hosted by high schools throughout Rapides Parish, the district celebrated the commitment of students who are embarking on the journey to become future educators.
The event, held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, saw a total of 19 seniors from various high schools officially sign their commitment to pursue careers in education. Among the distinguished students are:
- Lela L., Cadence R., Lainey G., Abby D., Zoey D., Sophia J., Payton B., and Grace F. from Buckeye High School
- Abbigail B., Emily F., and La’Nyia V. from Tioga High School
- Rylee B. and Ayiana K. from Alexandria Senior High (ASH)
- Aryannah A. and Marlaysia J. from Northwood High School
- Brailey F. from Plainview High School
- Ruth S. from Oak Hill High School
- Ava A. and Dulce G. from Rapides High School
These students were recognized for their dedication to the teaching profession and their commitment to shaping the future of education. By signing their commitments, they have demonstrated a passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students.
The Educators Rising Signing Day provided an opportunity for district leaders, educators, and fellow students to celebrate the accomplishments of these aspiring teachers. Through interviews and speeches, the students shared their motivations for pursuing careers in education and expressed their excitement for the journey ahead.
As the district and community looks towards the future, these students represent the next generation of educators who will inspire and empower future generations. Their commitment to excellence and their passion for teaching will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the Rapides Parish community and beyond.
