Allen, TX (5/7/2023) – Allen Police Department (APD) reported a gunman killed seven and injured people at an Outlet Mall in the Dallas Area before being killed by police.
At 3:36 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, an APD officer on an unrelated call heard gunshots at Allen Premium Outlets. The officer engaged the suspect and neutralized the threat.
The officer then called for emergency personnel. A multi-agency response helped secure the mall. A reunification point was created on Chelsea Boulevard.
APD confirmed nine casualties from today’s shooting at Allen Premium Outlets. Seven individuals, including the suspect, were deceased at the scene. Names of victims were not release by APD.
Nine were transported to regional hospitals; two later succumbed to injuries. As of Saturday evening, three victims were in critical condition, and four were stable.
