Ball, LA (6/9/2023) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) upgraded the charges on the former Ball Police Officer arrested for 506 counts of child porn.
On June 8, 2023, David Buck Lee Roberts, 27, of Deville, Louisiana, who remains in jail from the arrest on Monday, June 5, 2023, was re-arrested and re-booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where he remains at the time of this release. Roberts resigned his position as a Ball Police Officer before being arrested. The bond on the new charges has been set at an additional $84,000.00.
RPSO Sheriff’s Detectives assigned to the Digital Forensics/Cyber Crimes Unit established sufficient probable cause that supported further allegations Roberts had committed additional crimes.
Detectives obtained additional warrants for Roberts’ arrest about forty-four counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles (Victim Under the Age of 13) and one hundred twenty–five counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
