Alexandria, La. (10/8/2022) – According to residents in the Louisiana Avenue area, a man was shot in broad daylight. The incident occurred around 4 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Neighbors said that victim was caught between crossfire.
APD released the following statement:
“At Approximately 3:57 pm, APD received a report of a man being shot at Louisiana St and Levin St. Upon arrival, they found a 41-year-old man shot in the foot. Non-life-threatening. He stated he was riding his bicycle at that intersection when several shots ran out. He was hit in the foot. He went and sat on a porch till APD and EMT arrived. No suspects. He said it sounded like shots came from N and N Food Mart at Louisiana and Monroe”.
Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria Fire Department, and Acadian Ambulance were on the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
