Breaking News: Pineville Police Department Investigates Child Sexual Abuse Case

Pineville, LA – (June 7, 2024) – The Pineville Police Department is currently investigating a severe child sexual abuse case following a report received on May 15, 2024.

After an extensive investigation, authorities gathered sufficient probable cause to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Wayne S. “Butch” Worden on multiple charges, including Sexual Battery, Molestation of a Juvenile, and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

Worden was apprehended by Pineville Police Department detectives on May 30, 2024, at his residence on Military Highway.

The arrest followed the execution of various search warrants, which uncovered additional evidence leading to further charges against Mr. Worden. These additional charges include:

  • 1,087 counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal
  • 109 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles
  • 43 additional counts of Molestation of a Juvenile
