Baton Rouge, LA (2/23/2023) – Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives, Baton Rouge Street Crimes Division, and the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested AVERY HALL, 24, and Jacoby Hibbler, 18, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the 4400 block of South Sherwood Forest Blvd.
Hall was arrested for the shooting death of Toby Taylor, 28. The shooting occurred around 3:00 am on I-12 on October 8, 2022. Upon arrest, uniformed officers confiscated 1,000 grams of marijuana, 13 grams of mushrooms, an undisclosed amount of money, and two guns, one of which was reported stolen.
Hall was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 1st Degree Murder, PWID Schedule 1, Resisting, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of a Firearm with CDS.
Hibbler was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm with CDS, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Resisting.
