Attempted ATM Theft

Oberlin, La. (10/23/2022) – On October 21, at 04:22 am, the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from a concerned citizen regarding ATM Theft. The citizen stated that a white truck with two people in the vehicle had attempted to break into the ATM. The ATM is opposite the Oberlin Court House, between Main Street and 5th Street.

The concerned citizen turned around, and the vehicle took off with the chain still attached to the vehicle. The vehicle stopped on 5th avenue, and both suspects took off on foot, running north behind the Oberlin Football Field.

The suspects are described as two black males. Both are slim, with unknown height and age, one wearing a yellow hoodie and the other wearing a black hoodie.

The suspects may be from the Oakdale area. The 2000 Ford F150 they were driving was stolen from the Oakdale area before the incident occurred.
