Alexandria, LA (8/31/2023) – According to Jeff Powell, Superintendent of Rapides Parish Schools for Rapides Parish confirmed Alexandria Senior High (ASH) was placed on lockdown.
Mr. Powell said the lockdown was due to an alleged threat.
Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office said that the school administration, the RPSO School Resource Officer, the Alexandria Police Department (APD), and the Louisiana State Police (LSP) are investigating the alleged threat.
