Alexandria, La. (10/19/2023) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) successfully negotiated the peaceful surrender of a person suffering from a mental health crisis.
On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at approximately 5:45 PM, the Alexandria Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Wilshire Drive about an individual armed with a weapon and suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officers successfully negotiated a peaceful surrender of the individual, who was later taken to a local hospital for treatment.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
