Alexandria man arrested for second-degree murder; RPSO and APD released photos; bond set at $1,000,000

Alexandria, LA (3/23/2023) – Alexandria Police Department (APD) and Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) released the photos of the Alexandria man suspected of second-degree murder.

Jo’Quarious O. Davis, 20, of Alexandria, Louisiana, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder by APD.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, around 8:30 pm, sources informed UrbanCast/3iA of a brutal shooting in the Lacassine Area. Upon our arrival at the scene at around 8:40 pm, we observed APD officers canvassing North Boulevard and Llewellyn Drive.

Sources told us that a young lady had been shot over ten times and transported to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance Service. Sources told us later on Tuesday evening, the young lady had passed away.
