Alexandria Civil Service Commission  Reinstated Kenneth “Kenny” Rachal by Unanimous Vote

What does it say to the citizens of Alexandria when those sworn to protect and serve them take the law into their own hands and violate their fundamental freedoms?

What does it say to a citizen when because you know your rights and exercise them, an officer of the law can disregard the law and your rights and still end up tasing you because you did not let him and his counterparts enter your home after a District Attorney told them not to.

It says to most that that officer is no longer fit for duty. He is no longer fit to protect and serve.  Well, it says to the Alexandria Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board that officer Kenneth Rachal is precisely what the people of Alexandria want on their streets, protecting and serving it’s citizens.

An individual who once betrayed his partner and left him to die. (link to the stories about the K-9 and past actions) Ask any K-9 officer, and they will tell you their dog is their counterpart.

Maybe he has been rehabilitated from his past transgressions and can be a valuable asset to APD and the citizens of Alexandria.

The fact that he is getting another chance to prove himself is questionable at best.

Members of the Alexandria Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board:

Wade Tullos, Chairman (Fire Representative)

Rodney Jones, Vice-Chairman Member

John Stigall, Member

Dr. Francis Powell, Member

Chris Fonville, (Police Representative)

Brian Cespiva, Board Attorney

Barbara Bordelon, Secretary
