Alexandria City Council members who voted to make no changes to the Utility Cut-Off Policy; contact information as requested

Alexandria, LA (8/24/2023) – As a reminder on a day when the temperature is expected to reach 109 degrees, here are the faces to the names of the council members who abstained or voted to continue the disconnects of utilities for past dues in the middle of a heat wave and against a state mandate that says utilities should not be disconnected during a heat advisory.

They have upheld the Mayor’s policy that puts some of our children and elderly in our community at risk.

When you see the Mayor and these council members out enjoying life, ask them what they think or if they are thinking about anything other than the profits from selling electricity (money).

This policy is appalling and should be stopped immediately; Alexandria’s residents (ratepayers) should be afforded the same protections as the state citizens governed by the Louisiana Public Service Commission!
