Gorum, La. (9/01/2023) – At 3:32pm, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #1 with mutual aid assistance from the La. Department of Agriculture and Forestry with a dozer and Natchitoches Parish Fire District #5 and Natchitoches Parish Fire District # 4 are on the scene of a wildfire on the Lake Gorum Road near Gorum, La. according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
The fire moving westernly is in the area of the wildfire from earlier this week.
Several units are on scene.
The scene is active.

Smoke from the fire can be observed from I-49 near Chopin.
