Alexandria, LA (6/27/2023) – The family of the woman shot twice by her husband, the Senior Pastor of Bright Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana, has set up a GoFundMe page to help with her recovery.
Last week, Mrs. Gabriell “Gabby” Prenell was with her husband and three children in the lobby of the Hampton Inn in McComb, Mississippi, when police allege Danny Prenell, Jr. shot his wife twice in front of their three children.
Danny Prenell, Jr. was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence, disorderly conduct, and disturbing a business on Monday, June 27, 2023. Aggravated domestic violence is a felony with a maximum sentence of 30 years in Mississippi.
Gabby’s sister and father shared the following message on the GoFundMe page:
“On June 21, 2023, Gabriell and her 3 Children, ages 6, 5, and 3 years old, became victims of domestic violence at its highest level. . . . We are asking for community support to help Gabriell, and her three children transition back into a safe and healthy life. We are asking for your help with the following; Hospitals/Medical bills(2 major surgeries etc.), Housing(6 Months of Rent, Utilities, etc.), Living Expenses( Food, Clothing, Furniture, etc.) and Counseling.”
