Alexandria, LA (6/4/2023) – According to the Alexandria Police Department’s (APD) Facebook page, a hit and run occurred on Saturday, June 3, 2023. The hit-and-run occurred around 1 am.
APD said the incident happened at the intersection of Texas Avenue and Monroe Street. A person operating a motorized scooter was struck by what a witness describes as a dark or gray vehicle, possibly an SUV. The operator of the scooter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
APD said this investigation is currently an ongoing investigation.
