BATON ROUGE – The Baton Rouge Police (BRPD) reported an 18-year-old was killed, and her sister is in critical condition. Officers said their brother allegedly shot them during an argument Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Kevineisha McDowell, 18, was identified as the deceased woman by the East Baton Coroner’s Office. Kevineisha died at the scene. The injured sister was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The BRPD said the shooting occurred around 10 pm in the 3600 Block of Geronimo Street.
A BRPD spokesperson said the suspected shooter (brother) is believed to be on the run.
