Duson, LA (4/23/2023) – According to the Duson Police Department (DPD), Duson’s mayor, Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux, suffered a heart attack on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
The Mayor suffered a heart attack while helping with a litter pickup event in Duson.
Mayor Thibodeaux was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he underwent a procedure to clear two major blockages.
The Mayor remains in the intensive care unit at a local hospital, surrounded by his wife and daughter.
DPD said, there has been some improvement in the past 24 hours, and they are praying for continued improvement.
