Light showers will begin spreading over lower southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
By late morning, showers will increase in coverage with thunderstorms in the mix. Periods of heavy downpours are possible with organized convection, and 1 to 3 inches of rain with some locally higher amounts are possible through tomorrow evening.
Minor flooding in urban and poor drainage areas will be possible in locations with high rainfall rates or training storms
Isolated pockets of 5 inches can not be ruled out. This excessive rainfall will likely produce flooding in areas within the flood watch. Rainfall is expected to exit the region by late this evening.
