Shreveport, LA. (1/13/2023) – The Shreveport Police Depart (SPD) Violent Crime investigators arrested Dalton Robinson, 26. Robinson is suspected of murdering his grandfather on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
On January 12th at 10:40 a.m., officers were called to a deceased person in the 400 block of Washington Street. As officers arrived on the scene, Shreveport Fire Department declared the victim deceased. Officers noted severe head trauma to the victim.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit were called to the scene, and a homicide investigation ensued. With the assistance of the Shreveport Police Crime Scene Unit, Detectives were able to determine that the victim had been fatally beaten by his grandson Dalton Robinson.
A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Robinson, and he was taken into custody around 7:00 p.m. in west Shreveport. Robinson was transported and booked into the Shreveport City Jail for 2nd Degree Murder. No other details are available at this time.
This is the third Homicide in Shreveport in 2023.
