New Orleans, La. (11/24/2022) – The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a Homicide that left an 8-year-old male dead. The offense occurred shortly after 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in the 3200 block of Second Street (Hoffman Triangle).
According to investigators, Sixth District officers responded to a shooting call, and upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.
Homicide and Child Abuse detectives gather information to identify the responsible person and a motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office released the identity of the victim as Neon Arnold, 8.
