Pineville, La. (11/5/2022) – According to the Pineville Police Department US 165 northbound at Claiborne Street is closed. The closure is due to a downed power line in the area of Pineville High School.

ACCIDENT ON U.S. HWY. 165 – BUHLOW CLOSED
A one-vehicle accident involving a logging truck occurred just before dawn this morning on US Hwy. 165 between Clairborne Street and Advanced Collision repair.
The 18-wheeler broke three utility poles on a double circuit as it left the highway and ended up in the nearby drainage area. Cleco has multiple crews working to restore power as soon as possible to the affected areas.
Buhlow Lake is CLOSED TODAY while oil and gas from the accident are cleaned from the bayou drains into Buhlow Lake.
Passengers in the tractor-trailer have been treated and released from a local hospital.
State and local agencies have been working to clear the area – and encourage caution when traveling that section of Pineville today.
The closure will be most of the day. Use an alternate route.
