OPELOUSAS, La. (10/23/2022) – According to the Opelousas Police Department (OPD), a man was shot and killed. The homicide occurred in the 100 block of South Academy Street.
At 2:40 pm, police responded to shots fired call. Upon arrival, OPD Officers found an unidentified male lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim received life-saving procedures. However, medics confirmed he was longer showing signs of life.
