Sean McGlothlin, Police Juror called Catherine Davidson a “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.”

Alexandria, La (10/13/2015) – Sean McGlothlin, Police Juror for District G, called Catherine Davidson a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing in a recent Facebook post on his timeline., which has since been deleted.

McGlothlin blames current Mayor Jeff Hall for putting “us in this mess” and states that Davidson has done nothing but start trouble and fight the administration.

McGlothlin also stated two other candidates have no experience. However, he failed to say Lorenzo Davidson is a successful business owner and Harry Hayes is a veteran and high school teacher.

Also, McGlothlins states that Roy made mistakes, but he fails to say what those mistakes were.

“ALEXANDRIA VOTERS BEWARE OF THE WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING.

There are 5 candidates in the Mayor’s election.

1-put us in this mess.

2 -have no experience.

1- has been on the city council by winning with only a handful of votes. She has done nothing but start trouble and fight the administration.

Only ONE has the experience and knowledge to even attempt to get us out of the mess!!

I am friends with Jacques and I support him 100%. When he was the mayor he did make some mistakes but he has owned that and for that I should support him.

I have been friends with Catherine most of my life and have never had a cross word with her until this past Friday at a football game.

I maintain some properties on Broadway Ave. Some of her big signs popped up on them a few weeks ago. The owners of the 2 properties have made several attempts to contact her to ask that they be removed to no avail. Apparently, her vow to be open and accessible is only true if you  are her supporter. They asked me to see if I could assist with this in fear of retaliation because they support Jacques. She is still the city council President and they know what she is capable of.

I attempted to get the signs removed by laying them over and putting a note to please remove with my phone number.

On Friday I was at the Menard Homecoming game when someone shoved me from behind, I turned on see Catherine. She aggressive said to stop pushing her signs over. I informed her that she didn’t have permission from the property owners and to please remove them. She continued to insist that she had permission, which she does not. At this point she tried to insult my intelligence and integrity trying to instigate me to lose my composure. What Catherine doesn’t understand is one of us has grown up and the other hasn’t. She still plays childish games.

Since the campaign process began a month ago she and her people have been playing children type games with  Jacques’ signs which I maintain. I have tried to ignore this silliness and even removed signs off some properties.

I have owned and operated my own business for 28 years in Alexandria. I operated the Palms Cafe inside the Alexandria Zoo for 20 years. I was committed to Les and Leeann Whitt’s dream of keeping the zoo a special place that was affordable for families. I maintained that commitment until the day I left. I retired from the Rapides Parish Fire Dist 2 with 16 years to be able to spend more time with my family. Those of you who know me know I work hard for my family. You also know that my word is my word and  a handshake means everything. I am a man of my word. I am very direct, say what I mean and mean what I say. I always try to do what  is right and attempt to do no wrong. I fall short often and my wife always holds me accountable when I do.

I tell you these things about my employment history because I want you to find out about Catherine’s and her integrity. Yes she’s a lawyer that lived in New Orleans. I’m only a retired civil servant that was trained to run towards a crisis not away from it. I mow grass to pay my bills and support my family. But ask, how long has she been able to work in one place. You may be surprised at the answer.

Now that you know that she lived in New Orleans know that she’s a Latoya Cantrell mayor of New Orleans supporter. She thinks Latoya is doing a great job running her city. Ask yourself do you want Alexandria to become a little New Orleans? I sure don’t but we are almost there. If she becomes mayor think how much closer it may become.

Catherine was endorsed by  the APD Union. This is the first time this has ever happened. I can only imagine what promises were made to get this endorsement. If you have ever been around the Union President and Catherine you can clearly see he is her lap dog. There was a vote to endorse her and it was not unanimous. Alexandria Police Department has a lot of great officers that go to work every shift to make our city better. We cannot blame all of them for this unusual act of selfishness.

Catherine has told mutual friends if she doesn’t win the election that she will move. Does this really sound like someone that wants to fight to make Alexandria a better place to live.

I feel like I can speak for Jacques on this matter because we have discussed it multiple times.

If by some act of God he doesn’t win, neither he nor I are going to pack up our toys and move. We will stay here and fight to give back and make Alexandria a better place to live. This city has been great to both of us and our children. We will never give up on it.

In closing, I want to remind the people that reach out to me from across Central Louisiana for assistance with parish help. This election will effect you also. At some point you to travel into Alexandria for something. Please call your friends that do live within the city limits and make sure they understand the importance of this election to us all.

I did not make this post to argue or debate anyone. We each have our own opinions. I respect and appreciate yours, do the same for mine. Just make it a point to learn the person behind the candidate before pushing their button.

Please put a person in the Mayor’s office with experience that can try to save this city starting on day one.  Thanks for listening to my rant. God bless America and our city.

If you feel the same as me, please feel free to share my post.

I failed to mention that I am 3/4 through my 3rd term on the Rapides Parish Police Jury. I have learned what it takes to be an effective elected official to get things done.”
