Bolton High School Bomb Threat

UPDATE: We reached out to Superintendent Jeff Powell; here are his comments regarding the Bomb Threat that was called into Bolton today:

“The Rapides Parish School District was aware of the bomb threat that was called into Bolton High School this morning. The district has policies and procedures in place to ensure that everyone within our schools is safe from any threat or danger. We are thankful that our school administration, the school resource officer, and the Alexandria Police Department are working to keep our students and faculty safe.”

Alexandria, LA. (9/27/2022) – A bomb threat was called into Bolton High School around 8:15 am Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Alexandria Police Department (APD) and Alexandria Fire Department (AFD) responded along with other related agencies.

All Bolton students, faculty, and staff were evacuated. The area was declared safe after a search of the building at about 9:15 am. Students have since returned to class.

According to multiple sources there is a hightened security presence at the school.

No further information is known at the time, and we will post updates as information becomes available.
