Marksville, LA (8/5/2024) – The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) has made an arrest in connection with the murder of Gary P. Normand.
The arrest follows an investigation into the suspicious death reported on July 22, 2024, at a residence on LA Highway 1192 in Marksville, LA.
APSO identified the suspect involved in the Avoyelles Parish murder. On July 30, 2024, they arrested 19-year-old Jacob E. Michot of Marksville, LA.
Michot faces charges of Principal to 2nd Degree Murder and Possession of Stolen Things. His bond is set at 1.1 million dollars, and he remains in custody.
The investigation into the Avoyelles Parish murder is active and ongoing. APSO expects more arrests as they continue to gather information.
