At approximately 12:45 PM, the Alexandria Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 1800 block of Hill Street.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Derrick Ford Jr. of Alexandria, LA, was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save him, Ford succumbed to his injuries.
