St. John Parish (9/13/2023) – State Fire Marshal deputies are on the scene of a house fire in Mt. Airy involving at least two deaths, one a child. At this time, three victims have been located: a 38-year-old female, 7-year-old female, and a 2-year-old boy.No additional victims are anticipated to be located.
Around 4 a.m., the St. John Parish Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Marigold Street in Mt. Airy for a report of a house fire. At this time, the bodies of an adult and a child have been located.
This scene is active and this investigation is in its early stages. More information will be released as it becomes available.
